French Marigolds are a wonderful pest deterent, especially of nematodes. Plant on bed borders and in amongst vegetables.

Sowing: Indoors in pots from February. Outdoors from late April – May.
Light preference: Full sun. Plant in amongst tomatoes and other veggies to deter aphids and nematodes.

Harvest: Addition to small flower arrangements.
Wildlife Benefits: Bumble bees, solitary bees, some butterflies and honey bees are attracted to these flowers. Leave the best flower heads to save seed from in autumn.
