Attractive deep purple climbing bean variety from old German origins. An abundant stringless producer with rose-purple flowers.

Height: Abundant climber of up to 3m or 8”. Needs a trellis system or poles to climb up.

Days to germination: 5-10 days 

Sowing: Outdoors from late April – May when the soil temperature has risen. 

Light preference: Full sun but sheltered space is best. 

Soil requirements: Most well drained soil types are fine. 

Spacing: Plant 2-3 seeds or seedlings at each bean pole 25-30cm a part to allow them to climb. 

Harvest: Fresh beans can be harvested from about mid to end July. Dry larger older, bean pods for dried beans until October.
